Rouge Day spa is definitely the epitome of a home away from home, or that little staycation we all long for every so often. With its tranquil and calming atmosphere, it almost doesn’t even matter how busy your day has been, you’ll surely walk out transformed and rejuvenated, even if you’re just having a manicure. Now imagine being treat to a fully body massage, a hazelnut oil one that is.
My mom and I have both never been very open to the idea of massages, primarily because we’re both so ticklish and would ninja kick just about anyone who oversteps the tickle boundary. It was also my mom’s first time at the spa and I soon realized my description of my past experience didn’t quite do it any justice.
Honestly, I would not have celebrated Women’s Day any other way - surrounded by strong, inspirational women who are making a difference in the lives of others using the resources they have.
Going in, it was an uncomfortable first few moments, vulnerable and exposed. However, even stepping into our treatment room far exceeded our expectations or perceptions we had and we are officially hooked on the idea!
Although my mom couldn’t contain her laughter at times, relaxation truly set in for me and lying in a state between ‘zoned out’ and practically without any thought processes happening, the hour could have gone on forever. It probably wasn’t the most ideal time to have a massage, having barely recovered from pharyngitis and bronchitis the week before and being left with a terrible persistent cough (which seemed to make a major comeback throughout) but thankfully the spa’s staff is known for the great hospitality and professionalism, and I’m so happy my nail girl is also my masseuse!
I think we went blindly into our massage and I’m glad we did as Rouge has certainly set the tone of how things should be done. As sensual as a Hazelnut Oil Full Body Massage sounds, is truly as sensual as it is. I have never felt that relaxed or rejuvenated – ever, neither did I realize that knots don’t just affect my neck area.
A perfect atmosphere in any establishment or for any brand is more than just the right background music and smiley faces, it is about authenticity, skill and customer satisfaction. Rouge Day Spa is it.
And here we are, a few days later, still feeling the calming effects of those healing hands. Who else is ready to be pampered? I know I cannot wait for my next one.
I organised a Hen's Day at Rouge and I was so wonderfully impressed by their amazing service. We were a group of about 12 ladies, having manis and pedis, and we all received incredible service! Not only that, Rouge supplied our group with delicious Sushi, High Tea and bubbles! They were so organised and efficient, yet the atmosphere in the salon is was so relaxed! Their facilities are beautiful and we all enjoyed lazing by the pool between treatments.
Thank you so much for making my mom feel extra special by hand-delivering the spa voucher to her and not posting it! She was so thrilled when she received it ON her birthday!

I just love everything about Rouge day spa, From the beautiful relaxed atmosphere to the vision and ethos behind what they want to provide for their clients. Lindsay has ensured that all bases are covered and you are able to use Rouge day spa to do pretty much anything in terms of special occasions. With a gorgeous menu, bubbly to purchase and lovely facilities, this spa is like home away from home. I cannot wait to go back!
