Die Kalkoonde is a beautifully restored old limestone mine factory building that would complement anything from a Modern Castle Elegance to a Rustic Farm Inspired Wedding.

This venue is as unique as they come. This old building built of raw stone and bricks is approximately 200 years old overlooking a dam and surrounded by the beautiful Boland countryside with an atmosphere out of this world!!

Die Kalkoonde is tucked away in a valley just outside of Wellington in the Western Cape. Only 1 hours’ drive from Cape Town City Centre.

We had our wedding at the Kalkoonde venue on 15 October 2022. The venue is such a beautiful place with photo opportunities all over. The venue caters for all types of wedding packages and is very customizable based on your exact needs. Martina was such a pleasure to have by our side every step of the way. She’s knowledgeable, organized and honest. She puts in a lot of effort to reduce the stress from the couple and guests. Even with the unexpected rain, Martina made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. She has the best list of trustworthy quality suppliers. We still receive compliments about the venue, food and photos. I’ll recommend this venue any day!
