Simone Zandstra - Professional Make-up Artist & Hair Stylist.
Hi, my name is Simone Zandstra. As a child I was obsessed with everything clothing and make-up. After school I studied at the Fashion Academy in Utrecht, The Netherlands and received my degree. In 2003, I graduated from the House of Orange Make-up School in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I started my professional career as a make-up artist & hair stylist working in Amsterdam, Scandinavia and Germany.
In November 2006 I moved to South Africa, where I have worked from Johannesburg for local- and international clients and have worked on many weddings, amongst the wedding of golf player Charl SchwartzeI and his wife Rosalind. In 2012 I started a Custom Made Suit Clothing label called The Modernist Tailoring, together with my best friend. It was a natural next step for me, because of my background in Fashion. It's a great addition to my Make-up & Hair services, because I now also offer services to the Groom & Groomsmen and other wedding guests. Amongst our clients are TV personality Riaan Cruwagen, as well as top International business men, advocates and lawyers. We also Custom Make ladies formal wear.
Making people feel beautiful about themselves is my biggest passion. Each client that I meet, I see as unique and design the make-up and hair-style different for every person. I hide your imperfections and bring out your best features. I now work from The Western Cape, George area and am available to travel to you anywhere in the Garden Route- Klein Karoo-Cape Town area, available for Weddings, Functions, Matric Farewells, Photoshoots, Film, TV Commercials and Make-up classes/workshops.
