Rickety Bridge

My partner and I recently got married at Rickety Bridge. The day could not have gone more smoothly with Zara, the wedding coordinator, sorting everything in a way that looked effortless but obviously wasn't and kept the whole wedding party so calm. The view is spectacular and the package allows the whole event to be in one place which was lovely. The groom and bridal parties all stayed at the venue which was lovely and the staff in the hotel were also wonderful. We could not fault a moment during our big day. All in all we would thoroughly recommend Rickety Bridge as an all round brilliant venue especially as the coordinator Zara is a true professional and wonderful at what she does. We cannot thank her enough!

We came all the way from Ireland to have our wedding in Rickety Bridge. We viewed it online and it looked special, but as you know you cant tell from a little screen on a laptop if this is your dream wedding venue or not? However we asked some family and friends in South Africa to check it our for us, and they were treated to a lovely lunch and first hand experience of the venue. They were quite impressed. At this stage we were going on their recommendation and what we saw online, but let me tell you folks when we actually arrived in Rickety Bridge, it did not disappoint. We dealt with a lovely lady, Zara, who was a godsend all through the arrangements, and put us in touch with some great suppliers for the wedding. The event itself went brilliantly and the staff could not have been better, especially lovely Martha in the Manor House who made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Zara recommended we use Nina from Ivy Blue event planners for the flowers and the decor and she was exceptional. The ladies had their make up and hair done by MB makeup, brilliant service. We also had the very talented Mr Cilliers Visser, for the photographs, very professional, and Wades Cakes for the fabulous wedding cake. We hired C.P. sounds who provided us with a great DJ and The Ambiance Band for the live music, all highly recommended. If you plan to go to South Africa, to get wed or just for a holiday, and you appreciate the beauty of nature and exceptionable service try Rickety Bridge for few days it wont disappoint. Our wedding at Rickety Bridge was absolutely magical and we are so grateful to Zara and team for all they did behind the scenes to put everything together! As we did most of our planning from overseas, it was great to have such tireless support from Zara to coordinate everything on the ground, from meeting with the bride's parents to last minute menu changes and adjustments to seating. And then on the day, Zara was such a calm and organized presence - keeping everything running smoothly throughout! The setting is also perfect - the beautiful view of the vineyards stretching out below the mountains, the intimate reception area and lovely manor house accommodation which we booked out for the bridal party and grandparents. We can't wait to come back soon!
