Didier was born and grew up in Paris.
DJ Didier moved to South Africa in 1996 and has since then played across a number of venues and events, soon gaining himself a reputation as a versatile DJ with a good eye, or better ear, for the crowd and his clients expectations.
Over the past few years, Didier has become a seasoned DJ at weddings, and his credo is that "great music is the key to a successful wedding".
Producer by day and mixing at night, DJ Didier puts his passion and time to always make sure that his clients' guests will spend a lot of time on the dance floor!

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. Didier was perfectly professional from our first meeting through last call, and he paid close attention to our requests throughout. He even doctored the song for our first dance to give us a little extra time for a dip at the end! (Which we then totally failed to execute, but had a great time nonetheless.) A dear friend who writes music reviews for U.S. magazines had high praise for the line-up of songs he played during dinner, too, which we hadn't even discussed. I couldn't recommend Didier highly enough.
Didier was just fantastic. He was recommended to us by our wedding planner as we were organising our wedding from the UK. Our friends and family have said it was one of the best weddings they’d ever been to and a huge part of that was down to Didier. He played delightful music during our wedding breakfast and the dancing later too!
He also allowed us to give him a list of ‘essential’ songs we wanted which he seamlessly mixed. He knows how to read the crowd and get everyone dancing. Blissful!

My wife Natalie and I met Didier when he mixed at the 50th birthday of her uncle (who knows the party scene in Cape Town very well). He got the big majority of the crowd dancing within seconds - and kept them dancing till the end. The same happened at our wedding in November 2016 (we booked him) which included a very diverse list of people. I never saw a DJ who reads a crowd as well as he does, not just playing song after song, but mixing them together very creatively. Trust him with the music, don`t give him too many "Must-Play-Songs" - he knows what he is doing. Didier is extremely professional, we met some weeks before for a coffee and he also set up music for the ceremony, speeches and canepes. I have booked Didier several time. For all types of clients. For all types of function. I will take him with me on my events anywhere, anytime. Why? He is simply the best reliable DJ I have ever worked with. Capable to keep people on the Dance Floor for hours. Beeing able to create the right balance and the right atmosphere to the evening depending on the mood of the guests and that's a skill that only top DJ's can have. It's not only a bit of music at the end of a Gala dinner. No, it's the key success of the evening, it's the key feature of the party. Didier is always on time. Reliable, excellent presentation. Professional and down to earth. Approachable when clients do ask for their special songs... that's priceless.
DJ Didier spun the decks at our 40th birthday celebration. He came very highly recommended and he certainly surpassed our expectations. He adhered to all our music preferences and managed to get the entire party of 90 odd people onto the dance floor by 8:30pm which was an impressive feat! He is stylish, professional, very approachable and was a total hit at our party. I would recommend him for any function and wouldn't hesitate to use him again!
We came across DJ Didier from attending the Grande White event in JHB where he was the DJ. We had so much fun dancing to his music there and so contacted him to DJ at our wedding. He made us feel at ease and was very relaxed when meeting him. He was able to get us all of our requested soundtracks for each part of the ceremony and all the special dances etc. He read the mood of the wedding perfectly and our guests - young and old - danced the night away. There are so many words to describe DJ Didier but I think the words that define him most are "Classy" "Reliable" "Friendly" "Respectful" "Talented" and "Kind"
Flexible would also be a good word. We flew from Australia with some German and Moroccan friends and had the rest of our South African family all united in this room for our beautiful day. DJ Didier managed to re-create a vision of the world through music and succeeded in touch everyone's heart no matter what country we were all coming from. It is an art to be able to have so much knowledge his music and on his clientele. I would recommend DJ Didier to anyone who wants to have a good time and wants to be transported in any place in this world through music.
Didier was absolutely perfect! We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. He truly made our night exactly what we wanted. From the beginning, Didier was super easy to work with. We were planning our wedding from JHB, and he was so flexible about doing as much as possible with us over the phone. He answered all of our questions and made some great recommendations. We gave him a few examples of the type of music we enjoy and he ran with the rest. He more than delivered. The dance floor was packed the entire night, he played the perfect selection of music that appealed to our friends and older family, they are still talking about how much fun they had and how great the music was! I would highly recommend Didier to everyone!
We got married in Cape Town a year ago and hired DJ Didier not only for the wedding itself, but also for a poolside party we hosted in Camps Bay a few days before. Didier was fantastic at both events. He took the time to meet us 4 months before the wedding when we travelled to CT to finalize all the details. He completely understood the brief we gave him for both events, and delivered superbly! Everyone had such a great time on the dance floor. Didier did exactly what we asked him to do, he isn't one of those snob DJs who want to show off their skills but ignore what guests actually want to dance to. Could not recommend him enough.
Music on a wedding is essential.
It is what makes your guests happy, bored, emotional or anything in between.
I think being a DJ is a difficult job. Figure out what people want to hear or dance on by the second and manage to keep the dance floor always busy is more than a skill.
DJ Didier made it all possible, but mostly, He knew without any request how to set the right mood at the right time from the ceremony to the pre-drink, and from the reception dinner to the Dance Floor. His ways of mixing and blend music and lyrics from songs to songs were outstanding!
And what a repertoire! All ages had what they wanted!
I never witness a DJ so close to his craft and also so humble. Dressed in his black tie best, we all could only give him a standing ovation for what he achieved on our wedding. Marjorie and I would like to thank you so so much for your work and for contributing to the success and fun of our wedding. The venue was great, the food was memorable the DJ was EPIC!

We had a very diverse group of people at our wedding in Stellenbosch. Our guests came from South Africa, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, America, Switzerland, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Russia, to name a few. We were concerned about how the party will be kept alive and everyone included. DJ Didier was immense. He managed to keep everyone from Sakkie Sakkie Afrikaners to disco crazy Americans from young and old entertained.
He maintained a joyous atmosphere and we highly recommend his services.

It's been 10 months since our magical wedding day and our guests are still raving about how great our DJ was. DJ Didier was everything we could've hoped for and more. His mixes were exceptional and he read the crowd perfectly. Couldn't have asked for a better DJ.
As I had known Didier for a number of years and heard im Play at different venues in Cape Town, booking him for my wedding was a no-brainer. What I/we (and that includes our guests) liked about him most was that he is:
- versatile, has a good selection of music and can cater for the different kind of audiences a wedding usually presents in one room
- has his own style, yet still leaves enough flexibility for the odd wish from guests
- does not force his own preferred repertoire on you and does not make you feel bad to ask for a "boring" mainstream song (yes, you do get those kind of guys...)
- kept the dance floor going until 3pm
- is a friendly and likeable guy you almost want to invite to your wedding anyway, even if you barely knew him
- is professional yet still approachable. He does not get a heart attack if someone even comes near his turn-tables
So yes, definitely recommendable!

DJ Didier perfected the evening with his craft. We had a meeting before the wedding describing what the atmosphere we would like and he surpassed our expectations. At all points in the evening the dance floor was packed, testimony to his work. Still 2 yrs later after our wedding date I get complimented for the music and party atmosphere what was created, clearly DJ Didier left an excellent impression in the minds of every guest.
